Terms of Service

Last updated: October 6, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EasyPlate mobile application and related services ("EasyPlate", the "Service"), operated by the EasyPlate team ("we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use EasyPlate. Every account is opened with a verified phone number; you may additionally link Google, Apple (iOS) or email sign-in. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in methods secure and for everything that happens under your account. One person, one account: do not create accounts for others or transfer yours.

We may suspend or block an account that violates these Terms. A blocked account can contact us from the support screen.

2. The Service

EasyPlate lets you collect recipes (written by hand, pasted, imported from websites, social-media videos, files or generated on request), organise them into books, plan weekly meals, build grocery lists, scan receipts, estimate nutrition, share with other accounts and take part in a community forum. The Service works offline for content you saved; AI and community features require an internet connection.

We may change, add or remove features at any time. We try to give notice of material changes in the app.

3. AI-generated content

Recipes, ingredient lists, quantities, cooking steps, tags, translations, prices and nutrition values produced by EasyPlate's AI features are automatic estimates. They can be incomplete or wrong. You are solely responsible for checking them before cooking, shopping or relying on them, in particular for allergens, dietary restrictions, food safety, cooking temperatures and medical or nutritional needs. EasyPlate is not medical, dietary or nutritional advice.

The in-app assistant acts on your instructions through the same tools you use yourself (it can add groceries, plan meals, import, edit or delete recipes, start timers); review what it did, since a misunderstood request leads to a real change in your data, and deletions ask for your confirmation. It is a Premium feature while the plan says so.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, books, plans, lists, posts and other content you add ("Your Content"). You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, translate, process (including with AI providers), display and transmit Your Content as needed to run the Service, including to the people you share it with and, for content you post publicly, to other users.

You confirm that you have the rights needed for Your Content and that it does not infringe anyone's rights or the law. When you import a recipe from a website or video you are responsible for respecting that source's terms and copyright. EasyPlate retrieves only what you ask it to and keeps it in your own account.

Deleting content removes it from the Service and from the people you shared it with, subject to backups that expire in the ordinary course and to records we must keep by law.

5. Community and sharing rules

When you share or post you must not publish content that is illegal, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, violent, misleading, spam, advertising, or that infringes privacy or intellectual property. Do not impersonate anyone, scrape the Service, or post other people's personal data. We may remove content and restrict accounts that break these rules, with or without notice.

A share code or link grants access to anyone who has it until it expires (30 days) or you cancel it. You are responsible for whom you give it to; if it reaches someone you did not intend, cancel it from the share sheet and remove that person from the shared-access screen. Redeeming a code gives the same access an invitation would, under the same rules above.

6. Free use, allowances and advertising

A free account includes a daily allowance of AI extractions and of shared recipes. Reaching the allowance pauses that feature until the next day; watching a rewarded video may extend it. Free accounts see advertising served by Google AdMob. Allowances and the way they are extended may change.

Some features are reserved for Premium and may change over time; at present these include cook mode (step-by-step cooking with timers) and push notifications, shopping-day reminders and in-app alerts. The inbox and share invites stay available on the free plan.

The free plan also limits how much you can share: a number of recipe shares per week (by contact or by code) and a number of books and meal plans kept shared at once. The current numbers are shown in the app when a limit is reached; they may change over time and do not apply to Premium.

7. EasyPlate Premium (subscriptions)

EasyPlate Premium removes ads and daily limits and is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The current price is 20 ILS per month (local currency and taxes shown in the store); other periods or introductory offers may be shown in the app.

Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You can manage or cancel it in your store account settings; cancelling turns off renewal and Premium stays active until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are not refunded, except where the store's policy or applicable law requires a refund. Price changes are announced through the store before they apply.

Premium is tied to the account that bought it and can be restored on your other devices with the same store account.

Pro Duo (2 accounts) and Pro Family (up to 6 accounts) include a shared account. The subscriber who opens it is its owner: they alone invite, remove members and close it, and their subscription is what grants members Premium. Members may be removed by the owner at any time and may leave at any time; a member who leaves does not keep the shared data. If the owner's subscription ends, members lose Premium until it is renewed, while the shared data remains until the owner closes the shared account. Each account may belong to one shared account at a time, and shared accounts are meant for people in one household; selling or publicly offering seats is not allowed.

8. Cook mode and timers

Cook mode timers are a convenience, not a safety device. They depend on your device’s notification and alarm settings, battery optimisation, and the operating system, and a ring may be late or missed if the device is restarted, the app is force-stopped, notifications are disabled or exact alarms are not allowed. Never rely on them alone for anything where timing matters to safety; watch what is on the stove or in the oven.

On Android, a running timer keeps a foreground service and its permanent notification active, and the cook-mode screen keeps your display on; both use battery. You can stop them at any time by pausing the timers or ending the cooking.

9. Acceptable use

You must not: break or bypass security, rate limits or allowances; use automated tools to access the Service; reverse engineer the app except where the law allows; use the Service to train AI models or to build a competing product; resell or redistribute the Service; or use it for any unlawful purpose.

10. Intellectual property

The EasyPlate app, its design, logo, text, code and the content we create (including the tutorial book and sample recipes) belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark law. These Terms grant you a personal, limited, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own for personal, non-commercial purposes.

11. Third-party services

The Service relies on third parties such as Google (Firebase, Gemini, AdMob), Apple, RevenueCat and the websites and platforms you import from. Their availability and terms are outside our control, and an import may fail if a source blocks it or a video is private.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that content will not be lost; keep your own copies of anything important.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, EasyPlate and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service, from AI-generated content or from food prepared using it. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or 100 ILS if you paid nothing. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

14. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify EasyPlate against claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms or your violation of any law or third-party right.

15. Termination

You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice where possible. Sections that by their nature should survive (ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law) survive termination.

16. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes will be announced in the app; continuing to use the Service after they take effect means you accept them.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv-Jaffa have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to mandatory consumer-protection rights you may have in your country of residence. If you downloaded the app from Apple's App Store, Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and may enforce them.
